1) Drink a full glass of water before and after a meal so you will be full faster. Also try to make water your primary drink in replace of sugary ones like cokes or juices.
2) Don't eat past a certain time, preferably 3 hours before you sleep. I try not to eat past 7 pm! If you have to eat or get hungry, try drinking non sugary drinks like water, tea, or milk.
3) This one is a hard one....DO NOT GO SHOPPING! I repeat NO SHOPPING! If you have a goal weight you are trying to reach, don't buy any new clothes until you've reach that goal. This will keep you motivated to lose that weight.
4) Exercise! Not only can exercising burn calories, but it too can help you regulate bowel movements. No need for a gym membership. Keep workout fun and easy. Just put on 3 or 4 favorite dance tunes and 'shake what your mama gave ya.' 20 minutes of exercise a day will do wonders!
5) Brush your teeth! Toothpaste contains sodium lauryl sulfate, an effective foamer, which acts as a taste modifier, temporarily suppressing the sweet receptors of the tongue. This makes eating sugary snacks like chocolate or juices taste weird or even bitter, thus discouraging unhealthy snacking!
6) Here's one of my favorite weight loss tips. Get a massage! Yes that's right, massages can help you lose weight. Regular massage sessions increase circulation, which can speed up your metabolic rate, allowing your body to burn more calories faster.
7) Be a busy bee. Keep yourself occupied by either cleaning the house, gardening, organizing,scrap booking, or even playing with the kids. The more occupied your mind and body is doing activities the less you think about food or going to the kitchen. This really works, because if you think about it when was the last time you saw a fat bee?
8) Naturally increasing your bowel movement! Gross, I know, but the more often you can cleanse your body of waste, the faster you will lose weight. You can do this by eating more fiber.
9) Never skip a meal! This will just make you hungrier and will cause you to eat more. In fact, it's actually better to eat more often (5-8 times a day including snacks) then just sticking to 3 meals a day. Just make sure you eat smaller, healthier portions each time.
10) Make the decision to start NOW! Stop making excuses or putting it off. Once you've made the decision to lose weight, stay motivated and stick with it till you've reach your goal. Everyone deserves a healthier, happier life.
