Why Is First Aid Treatment So Critical?

Accidents small or major keep on happening from time to time. One's friend might get hurt or one's child may also get hurt badly. Being able to treat the injured one then and there before professional help arrives is referred to as first aid. Different types of accidents may occur or emergencies may crop up and first aid needs to be provided accordingly. It is important for everyone to be aware of some first aid tips since at times first aid treatment is very crucial.

In cases where the patient is suffering from an injury or cuts, efforts must be made to restrain the bleeding first. The person providing the first aid must be careful that he does not establish any contact with the patient's blood since it may cause infection. It is best to cover one's hand with latex gloves or may be a dirt free plastic bag. After the bleeding subsides a bit an antiseptic ointment should be applied over the wound and then bandage it if is required. In cases of serious uncontrolled bleeding a lot of pressure is required to be applied on the wound with a clean and dry piece of cloth. The wound must be tried to be elevated above the plane of the heart. The injured person's tight clothing should be loosened and asked to lie down with constant reassurances.

Such wounds have the maximum chances of causing blood related infections causing septicemia, hence providing first aid in such cases one should be very careful.

Other emergency situations like a person suffering from breathing problems also require first aid. First it is imperative to see whether the person is responding to any form of physical contact. If the answer is in the negative one should immediately call for help. Before help arrives the primary steps to be taken is to lay down the person. His head is to be tilted and held upwards by the chin while pressure should be softly applied on the forehead. This is done to prevent suffocation by the tongue. One has to check whether the person is still breathing or not and the pulse should also be checked continuously. If the person shows no sign of external breathing basic life support treatment should be given, since in case of adults mostly it is a heart problem.

First aid for wounds and for breathing trouble is the most common one and many require it now and then. Other ailments like shock, nose bleeds and choking also requires first aid treatment. Accidents and emergency situations may occur anytime and it is not in our hands to prevent them. So it is best to be prepared to tackle such situations effectively. A first aid kid should always be kept handy and at home it is a must. Taking a first aid treatment course helps a lot not only making a person apt with the technicalities but also fostering a self confidence. One should also carry a first aid kit while traveling. Hygiene is also a very important part of first aid. Knowing some basic first aid tips and application of common sense may save a person from suffering serious consequences of an accident.

Understanding Paediatric First Aid

Paediatric first aid refers to medical attention given to infants and young children. Anyone who is officially in charge of other people's children usually needs to go through a course on paediatric first aid to be able to deal with any emergencies that may arise. This can include teachers, registered childminders and nannies.

The National Childminding Association states that

"All childminders in England and Wales must hold a valid paediatric first-aid certificate when they register. In England, the first-aid course must be recognised by Ofsted and the childminder's local authority. The first-aid certificate should be updated on a regular basis - every three years or so, in accordance with the issuing body."

The UK government stated in their publication of 1998, Guidance on First Aid for Schools, that "first-aid provision must be available at all times while people are on school premises." In the case of pre-school and primary school attendance, this can mean paediatric first aid, which broadly speaking means children up to the age of about eight years old.

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework and the Office for Standards in Education (Ofsted) both require paediatric first aid training in all nurseries, early years providers and primary schools. Accredited centres throughout the country can provide the necessary training, which can be towards an NVQ certificate in Childcare and Education.

Paediatric first aid is likely to be used for a wide variety of incidents. These include things like treatment of an unconscious casualty, resuscitation, head injury, diabetes, wasp and bee stings, sprains and strains, various bodily injuries, both minor and serious, nose bleeds, asthma attacks, choking, seizures, burns, foreign objects swallowed, illness, eye injury, shock and poisoning. There are many more possible situations where paediatric first aid may be required in a child-minding situation, and those who look after children need to be fully trained to cope with whatever happens.

Conclusion
Being responsible for other people's children means being ready for any and every eventuality. Children are perhaps the most unpredictable members of the entire human race, and they seem to get into trouble very easily, which often results in injury of some kind or another. Luckily, most incidents are usually minor and not life-threatening, but they can be extremely stressful and painful for the child concerned. Those trained in paediatric first aid are ideally placed to deal with such situations. In fact, everyone who has to look after children should be fully trained in this way.

ACL Surgery - How to Save Money on Your Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction

Need an ACL Reconstruction? Scared of what it might cost you? Looking for ways to save a few dollars?

If you have been diagnosed with a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament and need to have ACL Surgery, you need to be prepared for what it will cost you. As part of your necessary preparation for an ACL Reconstruction, It is important to find out about all the costs well in advance.

Here are a number of ways that you can save money on your knee surgery and recovery journey:

1. Get Private Health Insurance - Make sure that you obtain the right level of insurance cover. You'll especially want to look for higher levels of cover from orthopaedics and physiotherapy. Check the waiting times as some health insurance plans require you to have had the insurance in place for a certain amount of time before you can make any claims. And of course, shop around for your health insurance.

2. Borrow An Exercise Bike - One of the primary muscle groups that you'll need to strengthen and exercise after an ACL Reconstruction is the quadricep muscle group. One of the most effective ways to do this is to ride an exercise bike. My Orthopaedic Surgeon told me that if I did nothing else, I should ride an exercise bike regularly. If you can borrow one instead of paying to use the one at the gym, you could save yourself a lot of money.

3. Buy a Theraband ($5 investment instead of $100's of dollars at the gym) - There are many different types of exercises to strengthen your leg muscles following ACL Surgery, but one of the cheapest ways is to buy a theraband (quite possibly from your physiotherapist) for your strengthening exercises, such as for your hamstring.

4. Explore Insurance Claim Options - You may be in a position where you are able to make a claim against the insurance policy of another party that is partly responsible for your injury. For example, if you tripped or twisted in a public place where there was a hazard that should not ordinarily be there such as a hole or broken path, you may find that the local council or owner of the property has some form of insurance policy against which you can make a claim. They may be able to pay for all of it or perhaps just a part of it.

5. Use a Referring GP that Bulk Bills - You may find that you need to see your General Practitioner (that is, your local family doctor) at various points throughout your ACL injury experience. Your visits to the GP will generally be for initial diagnosis, referrals to Orthopaedic specialists, referrals for X-rays or MRI scans, to diagnose subsequent side effects following surgery, and for prescriptions. The cost of visits to the doctor can add up if you don't use a GP that bulk bills.

6. Don't buy all the prescribed pain killers - After an ACL reconstruction, your surgeon will most likely give you three prescriptions:

1) Anti-inflammatory tablets
2) Mild Pain killers
3) Strong Pain killers

With the advancements in ACL Surgery in recent years, they have also been able to minimise the amount of pain experienced after the Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction. In most cases, you will only need the mild pain killers if any at all. You may find that you don't need any pain killers at all, however for peace of mind most patients would buy the mild pain killers just in case.

7. Do a big grocery shop BEFORE your ACL reconstruction (so that you don't spend on food orders and deliveries for the first 2 weeks) - For the first couple of weeks after your ACL Surgery, you might find it difficult to drive or walk to the shops and then to push a trolley around while you do your grocery shopping. If you do make it that far, then you have the challenge of carrying the shopping bags into your home, not to mention being against your physiotherapists advice of carrying weights. The alternative to this is paying for takeaway food or ordering deliveries. This can be an expensive alternative.

8. Use your physio's equipment (instead of the gym) - A big part of your ACL Recovery Program will involve strengthening muscles that support your knee and many people benefit from going to the gym. However, many Physiotherapists also have some gym equipment in their clinic. One way to save on expensive gym visits and memberships is to ask if your Physiotherapist would be happy for you to use the equipment at the clinic for your exercises during the first couple months. At $10-20 per gym visit, you could save yourself hundreds of dollars.

9. Pay for your surgery up front (and ask for a discount for doing so) - If you are able to pay a lump sum for your surgery up front, then you may be pleasantly surprised when you ask your orthopaedic doctor and the anaesthetist for a bit of a discount for paying up front or prior to surgery. The potential discounts can add up to a few hundred dollars.

10. Use your credit card to obtain rewards points - Now this suggestion is more about making your dollars work a bit harder for you. You will find some great benefits from getting a credit card that gives you reward points for every dollar you spend. With the thousands of dollars you spend and the number of rewards points you can accumulate, by the end of your recovery program you may be able to redeem your points for something special to treat yourself or even travel flights to take yourself on a well-earned holiday.

While the 10 ideas listed here are an excellent place to start, it is important to be fully informed of the costs that will face you as you go through the process of recovering from your ACL injury and getting back to your favourite sport. hobbies, and a normal way of life.

Seasonal Allergies: Top Tips for Allergy Relief

If you are suffering from frequent sneezing, itchy nostrils, watering eyes, or sinus headache, you may very well be suffering from allergies rather than a cold. Hay Fever, allergic rhinitis and pollinosis, all names for airborne seasonal allergies, occurs when the immune system has a reaction to allergens in the air.

The ideal approach to remedy hay fever is to avoid the allergen, but that is extremely hard with seasonal allergies. Allergens are suspended just outside your door, and zoom in when you open it. Some people don't like to take allergy medicines because of the cost and side effects. These proven tips provide you an alternative way to control seasonal allergy symptoms.

Do not go outdoors whenever feasible, particularly during higher than average pollen counts. The worst time of the day is the afternoon, particularly in clear skies and breezy weather. Wear a face mask or, if fashion is a concern, protect your mouth and nose with a bandanna. Put on long sleeves for keeping plant pollen away from your arms, which may get itchy if you don't. Hire someone else to cut the grass instead of you doing it. Grass pollen trigger around 90% of most airborne allergies.

Prevent ragweed pollen from getting in your home. Make sure the windows stay tightly closed and keep your air conditioner running. Make use of a home air purifier that has a HEPA filter, preferably a unit that adjusts the level of filtration automatically as soon as the allergen levels go up inside, such as when anyone the door. Confirm that the air filter has enough filtering power for the rooms where you spend the most time. Electronic home air cleaners help to let you sleep more soundly, stop snoring, and wake with no congestion, nor a sinus headache as a result of allergies.

Fight back against allergy contaminants that get in the house. Get a HEPA vacuum cleaner and put it to use frequently on your carpet and floors, whether or not you see anything there right now. Almost all pollens are microscopic, invisible except in significant amounts. If your dog or cat walks all through the yard and then comes inside, be sure to clean its coat and paws when it comes in. The animal carries pollen every place you allow it to go, which includes your bedroom and other living spaces.

Get rid of the plant pollen you are carrying on your clothes and hair when you come in the house. Take off your shoes just inside the entry door, stash your clothing in the washer, and take a shower to rinse away pollen clinging to your hair.

Cut down exposure outside your home. Keep your car windows shut tight and the air conditioner turned on. Get a HEPA filter for your vehicle, which traps a large percentage of pollen. A typical air filter for a car effectively does virtually nothing to filter airborne allergens.

Change your housekeeping behavior. Do not hang sheets on a line outside to dry. The fabric will collect allergen particles. Wipe off the clothes dryer's lint screen with every dryer full of clothing. Scrub your window sills and vacuum the screens from outside. When you get past the pollen season and finally open the window, you do not want that dormant pollen to be blown into the house.

Avoid smelly substances. Chemicals that don't normally bother you, like floor cleaners or bleach, might heighten your reaction. Allow someone else to help do the laundry. Other problem substances to stay away from during the allergy season include cigarette smoke, aerosol spray, and other fumes. Although they might not bother you the rest of the year, during allergy season, they will increase your discomfort.

Seasonal allergies get the body's respiratory system fired up, and this could induce other respiratory complications, especially asthma. In the event that you're currently getting treated for long-term or temporary respiratory ailments such as bronchitis or asthma, make sure you keep on your prescribed medication throughout the spring and fall allergy season.

Regardless of whether you are in distress from pollen allergies, mold allergies, or year-round allergies, the symptoms will improve by adopting these tips.

What Causes Nail Fungus and How You Can You Treat It

Nail fungus is caused by a specific type of fungi called dermatophytes. Occasionally, a nail fungus infection will be caused by yeast or mold. Dermatophytes infect the toenails more frequently than the fingernails. This is because fungi love a warm and moist environment and the foot provides the perfect environment for fungi to thrive. If you think you have fungus of the nails, read on to learn more about the causes and treatments of nail fungus.

How do you get fungus of the nails? Generally, fungus will enter your body through a tiny cut in the skin, or it can enter if the nail bed and the nail become separated even the tiniest bit. If you walk barefoot at a public swimming pool or in a gym or public shower you can come into contact with the fungus that causes nail infections. If you have underlying health problems such as diabetes or a chronic condition that depresses your immune system you will be more likely to get fungus of the toenails or fingernails.

If you are the type of person that perspires a lot then you are at higher risk for getting nail fungus. If you wear heavy socks and shoes all the time, you will put yourself at risk for getting fungus of the nail because of the warm and moist environment your footwear provides. You can remedy this by wearing open toed shoes whenever possible. When you wear socks, make sure they are 100% cotton to help absorb moisture and allow your feet to breathe.

There are other complications that are associated with fungus of the nails. If the fungus is left untreated it can do permanent damage to the nails and the nail beds. It will also put you at risk for developing cellulitis, which is a serious infection that sometimes requires hospitalization.
You can treat your nail fungus right at home using either one of these home remedies. Simply mix one part vinegar to two parts warm water and soak the affected nails for 15-20 minutes. Make sure you dry the nails thoroughly after soaking. You can also try applying Vick's Vapor rub to the affected nails. This seems to be an effective remedy. It may be best applied at night before going to bed because of the smell. Another great treatment for this type of fungus is to purchase a homeopathic remedy that is made from essential oils. This treatment can clear up your problem in no time at all.

Finding the Best Protein For Muscle Growth - Protein Supplement Information

As any serious bodybuilder will tell you, finding the best protein for muscle growth is crucial for the success of any training regiment. This is because protein is the underlying component in building and maintaining large muscle mass. By ensuring that your body gets the right amount of protein at the right time, you are paving the way for greater gains in weight training and better long-term results.

But what do I mean by "the right amount of protein at the right time"?
Well, there are a number of things to consider as you develop your dietary plan throughout the course of your training.

Finding the Best Protein for Muscle Growth in Everyday Foods
Let's leave protein supplements aside for now, and just deal with the protein you get in your everyday meals. It's important to get a lean source of protein in each of your meals. Avoid sources of protein that come with a lot of sodium, fat, or empty calories. This may seem fairly obvious, but you'd be surprised about the small changes you can make in your diet to ensure that you are routinely getting lean sources of protein.

For instance, rather than fry up eggs in the morning for breakfast, opt for egg white or egg beaters. Not only do egg whites have concentrated amounts of protein, they don't have the high cholesterol and fat content of the yolk. You can even come up with creative recipes for the egg whites to make them taste great! I prefer to serve mine as an omelet with sliced green onions, red peppers, and Tabasco Sauce.

Also try to avoid red meat whenever possible, as it is usually quite fatty. Opt instead for chicken or fish. Again, there are great recipes out there to dress up your meals. Just because you are trying to eat healthy doesn't mean you can't enjoy what you're eating! It's all part of the process in consuming the best protein for muscle growth.

What is the Best Protein Supplement
Naturally, this question comes up a lot amongst individuals who are just starting to train for the first time. But even the pros continue to look for supplements that provide the best protein for muscle growth.

Obviously this is a huge market with (unfortunately) a lot of poor quality products. Also, much misinformation gets spread in the marketing campaigns of some of these companies.
Generally, you will want to take your protein supplement as soon as possible after your workout, in order to ensure your muscles get the nutrients they need right away. The sooner they get protein, the sooner they can start rebuilding.

This is why many serious bodybuilders will take the post-workout protein supplement in the form of a shake - for faster absorption. The first hour after a workout is critical in getting your muscles the nutrients they need, and if you provide them with the best protein for muscle growth as soon as possible, you will be maximizing your body building results.

There is general consensus that whey protein is the best protein for muscle growth after your workout because of its high absorption rate of 8-10 grams/hour. It gets to your muscles the fastest out of all other proteins. Plus, some companies (such as Optimum) have developed hydrolyzed whey peptides for even faster absorption. Without getting too technical, hydrolyzed whey is a whey protein peptide that has had some of its amino acids broken into shorter chains of amino acids. This is an important consideration to make if you want to get protein to your muscles as soon as possible.

Also be aware of all the other stuff that goes into your protein powder. For the most part, you want to try to find a supplement that has good quality whey protein with very little "filler material." Sometimes companies will add in sugars or other artificial flavoring to make their product taste better. This is particularly common in "weight-gainers" where the goal is to provide as many calories as possible. However, not all of these calories are good, and in fact can hamper you efforts in achieving the best protein for muscle growth.

Conclusion: Where to Buy the Best Protein for Muscle Growth
As you go about locating the best protein for yourself, keep the above considerations in mind. For an individual who is pursuing any exercise regiment which involves weight training, you will want a high quality whey protein shake with fast absorption after your workout. This will ensure faster gains in muscle growth.

And nowadays, it is relatively easy to find the best protein for muscle growth if you know what to look for. Not only is the internet a source of valuable information, but it is a great place to find deals online. The fact that online businesses have access to a much larger market than local stores means that they are able to sell their products for less. You should consider purchasing your protein supplement online if you are looking to save money.

Plus Points and Minus Points of the Stepper

With the introduction of many home-use fitness equipment models, the number of gym memberships sold each year is slowly decreasing. Now, many people prefer doing fitness exercises at home, rather than traveling to the gym. It is the convenience factor that is driving people towards the use of home fitness equipment. Also, the idea of getting gym-like workouts in the comfort of your home, any time you need it, is an influential factor that motivates people to buy a home-use fitness exerciser. The sudden boom in the fitness industry, especially in the home-fitness range has led to the introduction of a wide range of products and renowned brands. Some of them have come and left the market without much notice, but some pieces of equipment have had huge success in the market. One such product which has made a mark since its launch is the Air Climber Fitness Stepper.

Re-introducing the Fitness Stepper
The Air Stepper is a unique piece of exercise equipment, also known as the exercise stepper. It is a portable piece of home-use fitness equipment that allows you to exercise as effectively as you can at the gym. It is light weight and durable so there are no problems carrying it anywhere you want. You can take the exercise stepper wherever you like; even on business trips or on your vacations. The stepper allows you to tone different muscles of your body all at the same time and so, it is quite a favorite amongst people who are switching over to home-fitness from gyms. Let's put some light on the pros and cons of an exercise stepper.
Air Climber advantages
  1. Multi-muscle toning: With the Stepper, you can tone different muscle groups of your body, such as calf muscles, legs, thighs, buttocks, abs, midriff region, the shoulders, upper and lower back, triceps and biceps.
  2. Portability: The idea that you can take the Air Climber anywhere and use it whenever you want to use it, gives you a great convenience advantage. Being light-weight, you can carry the Stepper with ease, without any problems.
  3. Intense workouts: The Air climber Fitness Stepper gives you different levels of resistance so that you can get intense gym-like workouts at home.
  4. Safety: The Air climber stepper is considered to be amongst the safest of all home-fitness equipment. It gives you a feeling of relaxation too and does not cause stress or pain during exercising.
  5. Unique technology: The Stepper powers your workouts with the unique Air Power Technology (APT). This technology uses the power of air to create resistance that powers your workouts.
Air Climber disadvantages
  1. Scams: As this equipment has gained a lot of popularity in such a less time, there are many scams flowing on the market. Some companies that promise you 'free trials' are scams and may even give you fake products.
  2. Floor exercises: The Air Climber Stepper gives you a lot of other exercises to do but completely neglects the basic floor exercises such as push-ups. Some people usually warm up their exercise routines with the floor exercises and since the Stepper doesn't facilitate floor exercises, many feel that the stepper isn't worth the hype.
So, when you are aware of the pros and cons of the Air Climber Stepper, you can make an informed decision on whether or not this fitness equipment is suitable for you or not. Here of course, the advantages overpower the disadvantages and so, the final verdict goes in favor of the Stepper.

How to Increase Your Energy Levels - Useful Facts You May Not Know

To win in life, sticking it out to the end is everything. You need to be able to sustain energy levels so you can do what you have set out to do. In a marathon, for example, the runner who finishes the race is declared the winner. Even if you clocked in the fastest time at the outset that would hardly ever matter unless you are able to sustain that energy all the way to the finish line.

There is really no secret to keeping yourself strong enough to last in your daily activities. Whether you intend to see yourself through your weight loss regimen or simply last through the entire workday, there are practical things that you can do to sustain energy levels.

1. Keep hydrated. When your body lacks water, you become sluggish and tired physically and mentally. Your body can't metabolize energy properly when you're thirsty and as a result, you'll feel fatigued. To prevent this from happening, always have a water bottle with you.

2. Stay away from alcohol. If water is a boon in your life, look at alcohol as a bane. When your body does not tolerate alcohol well and when you've taken more than a glass, it acts to depress your nervous system and makes you feel tired. The initial stimulus you feel with this substance will easily get replaced with lethargy, depression and worse, when taken as a way to escape stress and problems, becomes addictive. With alcohol, you're not just going to be dealing with tiredness associated with a hangover but with overall feeling of malaise as well and that will not work towards sustaining your energy levels.

3. Strive for balance. To sustain energy levels, don't drive yourself to the ground by overdoing everything-- especially work and exercise. Don't keep on accepting projects when you know it will adversely affect the time you will have for yourself or your family. Never workout more than your body can sufficiently handle at a time. When your life is dominated by work, when you can't get enough sleep, when you can't even share a decent conversation with your spouse, then you know you're doing it a tad too much.

4. Revitalize yourself with mind-body techniques. Yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi keep you reenergized. Many practitioners are living proof of the ability of these exercises to revitalize and lift depression. Aside from these exercises, you can also get a massage or acupuncture to keep the energy flowing throughout your body. This contributes to increased feelings of wellness.

5. Take in nature. Just staying outdoors can have a revitalizing effect on the body. Whenever you can, take the time to actually smell the flowers and the clean scent of freshly-mowed grass or the invigorating feel of early morning dew. You'll be surprised at how a few breaths alone can sustain energy levels throughout the day. Avoid being cooped in an air conditioned office all day. Take lunch break walks in a nearby park and let the sights, sounds and smell of the outdoors keep you energized.

Good Skin Care Habits Start When You Are Young

The largest organ on the human body is the skin. With this being the case it's extremely important to take good care of your skin. This practice starts when you're young and continues into adulthood. When you're young your skin has more strength and elasticity. Like most things, it begins to wear out over time. There are ways to help prevent or slow down the aging process of your skin. The tips below will help you keep your skin looking young and radiant for many years to come.

Drink 6-8 glasses of water daily. This helps to keep the skin well hydrated. Some will even say that water aides in keeping the skin looking young and healthy. This is a debate that has yet to be resolved, but we do know that water helps flush unwanted toxins out of the body. When these toxins remain they will seep through your pores, thus causing pimples and blemishes on your skin. Water consumption doesn't have to be drinking water only, you can also get water from different fruits and vegetables as well.

Watch what you eat at all times. A healthy diet isn't just good for the body but it's also good for your skin. Choosing fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grain instead of white, and foods that's rich in vitamin C could help you to have healthier looking skin.

Avoid touching your face as much as possible. This can spread bacteria which can cause your pores to become irritated. There are times when touching your face is necessary, and during these times you should always make sure your hands are washed thoroughly. Your hands should be washed before applying makeup and when using cleansing creams. There are certain things that will touch your face, such as your eyeglasses or sunglasses. If you wear these make sure you clean them often. The bacteria could clog up your pores around your nose and eyes. Your hair should also be kept away from your face as much as possible. The oil in your hair can also clog your pores.

Always wear sunscreen when your body is exposed to the sun. When shopping for sunscreen make sure you buy one that has a SPF of at least 15. Even if the sunscreen is waterproof, it's still a good idea to reapply after swimming. In order to keep the pores open, you should look for a sunscreen that says "nonacnegenic" or "noncomedogenic" on the bottle. It's important to take short breaks out of the sun if possible. If you're on any prescription drugs you should talk with your doctor or pharmacist to see if it causes sensitivity to sunlight. Certain acne medicines can cause the skin to be more sensitive than usual, and in this case you should apply even more sunscreen.

Moisturize your skin even if you have oily skin already. Using a moisturizer or anti wrinkle cream will help to seal the moisture in your skin. If you have acne, then you'd want to avoid adding any more moisture to your skin. The key is to listen to your skin. If your skin feels very tight, then that's a clue that it needs moisture. The skin should never feel tight. Follow the directions on the label because it is possible to over moisturize which will cause your pores to become clogged and it's important that your pores are open and able to breathe.

Keep the stress under control. Sometimes it's hard not to get stressed over certain situations, but for as much as possible it's good to keep your stress to minimum. This is not only good for your skin, but for your overall health. Too much stress could cause your skin to become sensitive to acne and many other skin problems. Do things to relieve stress such as: exercising, talking with a friend, eliminating things off the to-do list, and meditating.

Unlike other organs in your body, your skin cannot be replaced. Developing a good skin care routine when you're young will pay off tremendously when you're older. It's important to start when your skin is still fresh and has all its elasticity. Aging gracefully is a great reward for taking care of your skin.
